Pekka Nihtinen	Subarctic Seascape 1 December seaview from Porkkala cape in the Gulf of Finland some 40km soutwest from Helsinki. A popular outing area which is sometimes too crowded on sunny summer days and full of ornithologists during peak migration seasons in spring and autumn but nice quiet on windy, cold winter days. Icy rocks and cliffs are dangerously slippery. Two winters ago I broke my Zuiko 7-14mm when sliding down a cliff (luckily no bones were broken). This year I had steel spikes on my hiking boots.
